What's important: Your measurements are stored on your machine, ensuring your privacy and security. You can export your data for further analysis or sharing.

About this project
ears.live is free, open-source, and was created by Timo and Daniel.
What it does
It lets you perceptually measure your audio equipment, from playback device via headphones or speakers to your ears. This lets you identify issues with your audio chain and improve your listening experience.
Use cases
All the measurements you create, are relative measurements as there's no information about the absolute sound pressure level. However, you can still use them to:
  • Identify frequency response issues
  • Compare different audio equipment
  • Track changes in your hearing over time
  • Find your personal equalization settings
  • Find equalization settings for other listeners, e.g., when creating monitor mixes for a band
Privacy
This application is fully client-side and does not send any data to a server. All data is stored locally in your browser's local storage. You can export and import your measurements as JSON files to back them up or transfer them between devices. We treat these measurement as medical data, as they can reveal information about your hearing abilities. That's why we take your privacy seriously and ensure that your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it. We will never collect, store, or share your measurement data. So make sure you don't lose it, as we have no way to recover it for you.
It's designed to help you make better audio decisions. If you like it, please share it or send us feedback in order to improve it!
